M. Pharm – Pharmaceutical Chemistry - 2 years (4 semesters) - 09 seats

The Department of Pharmaceutical chemistry was established in the year of 2021. M. Pharm programme in Pharmaceutical chemistry is aimed to expertise in In-silico drug design, drug discovery and research writing. The department strongly focuses on manufacturing of drug and drug intermediate quality control by sophisticated analytical instruments. The main objective is Innovative Process Development for the synthesis, drugs and drug intermediates, quality control and regulatory affairs. The curriculum is mainly focused on modern analytical techniques, advanced organic chemistry, pharmaceutical biostatistics, In-silico drug designing, advanced medicinal chemistry and natural products.

Eligibility

A Pass in the following examinations B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of II, III and IV years OR 3rd to 8th semester of B. Pharm as the case may be.)

Every student, selected for admission to Post Graduate pharmacy program in an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/ her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Note: If the candidate had passed his/ her qualifying degree (B. Pharm.) from universities other than Kerala University of Health sciences, it is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective university.
