TheDepartment of Pharmacy Practicewas established in the year of 2022. M. Pharm programme in Pharmacy Practiceto provide better patient health care and to bestow pharmacy services. Pharmacy practice is a patient-oriented specialization that includes hospital, clinical pharmacy services. The curriculum of pharmacy practice blends theory and practice of medical and biological sciences thus leading to a rewarding career in today’s expanding health care system.The department of pharmacy practice is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Through innovative teaching methods, the department provides the skills necessary to foster critical thinking and the optimal use of medications, while promoting professionalism.The department caters to the needs of the clinicians and patients by practicing clinical pharmacy services such as ward round participation, medication therapy management, patient counseling, antibiotic surveillance, medication errors, medication reconciliation, adverse drug reaction monitoring and reporting, drug information services, awareness programs, community outreach program, continuing pharmacy education program and clinical research.

Eligibility

A Pass in the following examinations B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of II, III and IV years OR 3rd to 8th semester of B. Pharm as the case may be.)

Every student, selected for admission to Post Graduate pharmacy program in an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/ her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Note: If the candidate had passed his/ her qualifying degree (B. Pharm.) from universities other than Kerala University of Health sciences, it is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective university.
