The festival of Onam, symbolizing prosperity and harmony was celebrated with grandeur and joy on 30/08/2025 at college auditorium involving management, staffs and students. The festival usually falls in the month of Chingam and lasts for ten days ,each with its own significance. From artistic Pookalam to mesmerizing cultural programs,every moment of the celebration reflected Kerala’srich tradition. The celebration was inaugurated by our Principal, Prof. Dr. N. L Gowrishankar. The venue was adorned with a beautiful Pookalam. The major attraction of the event was thePookalam competition among different batches held at Seminar Hall marking the active participation of students.The traditional Onam Sadya was served to the gathering in the afternoon. The various cultural programs held after included Thiruvathirakkali, Musical chair, Lemon and spoon, sack race etc, The prize distribution to the winners of various events was given by Principal at the end.The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks , appreciating the collective efforts of the organizers, staffs and students to make the event success.
Prime College of Pharmacy successfully organized a field visit for the First yearD. Pharmacy students (2024-2026 batch) to Labinduss Ltd. Kanjikode on 20/08/2025. The field visit was based on the new syllabus for D. Pharmacy (ER 2020) regulations for the subject of Pharmaceutics.Mr. Dlijith S., HR Manager, scheduled the field visit arrangements and divided the students into different batches. Mrs. Deepthi, Production Head, gave a brief introduction about Labinduss Ltd. and spoke about the various formulations developed at the plant. The trainees, along with staff from the Production and Quality Assurance departments, explained the steps involved in the formulation of solutions and semisolid preparations. They also described the equipment used in formulation development and their respective functions.This visit provided the students with a wealth of knowledge about formulation development and the various excipients used in the large-scale manufacturing of solutions and semisolid formulations. They also gained valuable visual experience in large-scale mixing procedures, equipment arrangements, and the workflow followed in industrial production settings. Furthermore, the students were exposed to the importance of maintaining hygiene standards, in-process quality control, documentation practices, and the role of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Independence Day, celebrated on August 15th, marks the end of British colonial rule and the nation's birth as a sovereign, democratic republic in 1947. It's a day of immense national pride, commemorating the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the dawn of a new era. The importance of Independence Day lies in remembering the sacrifices made by freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and Sardar Patel. It is also a day for students to understand the value of liberty, responsibility and patriotism. The celebrations promote national pride and inspire young minds to contribute positively to the country. Prime college of Pharmacy celebrated the 79th Independence Day in the college premises on 15/08/2025. It was the matter of great pride for all of us. The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag by Gowrinandana of IVrth Sem B Pharm . It was followed by the Flag Salute. The Pledge was taken by Bushara Shinubiya of IVrth Sem B Pharm. The independence day speech and Patriotic song were delivered by our B Pharm and Pharm D students. The function ended with National Anthem & distribution of sweets to everyone who gathered.

Pharmacy students (2024-2025 batch) to the Santhigiri Ayurveda Medical College, Olassery,Kodumbu, Palakkad on 05.08.2025.This field visit is mainly focused tobased on the new regulation of D-Pharm(ER-2020) for the subject Pharmacognosy TheprincipalDr.Prasanna VN, Vice PrincipalDr.Sneha MS,Dr.Sumam E professor & Dr.Arya V M, Professor of SanthigiriAyurveda Medical College welcomed the staffs and students with an introductory talk.Thestudents visited the Pharmacognosy lab having a wide collection of preserved rare medicinal plants.Prof. DrSnehaand Dr. Sumam introduced the different types of crude drugs storages.Then students visited the herbal medicinal garden with 200species of plant varieties.It was very useful to the students for better understandings of various concepts in ayurvedic system of medicines,collections,cultivations,preparations and dispensing of ayurvedic formulations. World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on July 28with the aim of raising awareness and promoting action for protecting and conserving natural resources. This day serves as a global call to action to protect, restore, and cherish nature, ensuring a sustainable future for all. The day encourages individuals and communities to adopt sustainable practices and make responsible choices to minimize their environmental impact. The official theme of World Nature Conservationday 2025 is “Connecting People and Plants,Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation”. This theme highlights the integration of technology to support conservation efforts and encourage people to foster closer bonds with nature through sustainable practices. On behalf of this day, Prime College of Pharmacy in association with NSS (Unitno.NSS/SFU/PKD/KUHS/1) organized a cleaning campaign in and around the campus. They focused on removing plastic waste and other pollutants from the campus, aligning with the global movement to #BeatPlasticPollution. The campaign was well coordinated by Dr. Archa S, Assistant Professor, Prime College of Pharmacy.
Prime College of Pharmacy hosted the College Cultural Fest-PRIME PRAVEGA 2025 on 26-07-2025,Saturday at College auditorium.Prof.Dr.N.L Gowrishankar,Principal, officially inaugurated the most spectacular celebration. He addressed the audience with great enthusiasm and expressed his support and encouragement to the participants. As a part of the Arts Fest, the students were divided into four groups, each led by a group leader. The off-stage events including Story writing, Essay writing, Creative Writing, Painting, Pencil drawing, Elocution, Group Song, Patriotic Song, Light Music, Classical Music, Mappilappattu, Mimicry and Monoact were beautifully organized from 04/07/2025 to 18/07/2025. The enthralled occasion was adorned with the most enchanting performances like Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Thiruvathirakkali, Folk dance, Margamkkali, Oppana, Group dance, Vattappattu, Mime and Skit by our students. Group won the overall championship,securing total points of .The certificates and trophy to the winners were distributed at the end of the day.The ceremony was conducted with great soleminity , reflecting the active participation of all the students.
Prime College of Pharmacy successfully organized an Internal seminar on “FROM HYPOTHESIS TO CONCLUSION-A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO RESEARCH METHODOLOGY" on 25 -07-2025 for the Seventh Semester B Pharm students. The session was led by Dr .K. Selvaraju, HOD ,Department of Pharmaceutics in the Seminar Hall .The seminar covered various topics including identifying the research problem , literature review , formulating the hypothesis, choosing the research design ,its limitations and recommendations.The talk has provided an end-to-end overview of the research process, highlighting how a well-structured methodology ensures valid, reliable, and actionable results. The session highlighted the importance of the path from hypothesis to conclusion for producing a credible and an impactful research.
Prime College of Pharmacy successfully organized the Annual Sports Fest –PRIME AGON 2025 on 19/07/2025,Saturday.Prof. Dr. N.L. Gowrishankar, Principal, inaugurated the fest. The event was organized to foster the sportsmanship, teamwork and physical fitness among students.With a group of four, all the students enthusiastically participated in the Indoor and Outdoor games with great competitive spirit. They were involved in various Indoor games including Chess, Carroms, Table Tennis held from 04/07/2025 to 18/07/2025. The Outdoor games like Badminton, Volley Ball, Shotput, Javelin, Tennikoit, Cricket and Football were conducted on 19/07/2025.The Overall Championship was presented to the Group 3 with highest number of points. The certificates and trophy were handed over to the winners at the end of day.The teaching, non-teaching and student volunteers worked together to make the Sports Fest a grand success. It provided students a valuable platform to display their talents beyond academics and to experience the spirit of healthy competition.
The International Day of Yoga is a day in recognition of Yoga that is celebrated around the world annually on 21 June following its adoption by the United Nations in 2014. This year marks the 11th International Day of Yoga with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, which echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked. Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. To mark the decadal edition, students of Prime College of Pharmacy in association with NSS (Unit no.NSS/SFU/PKD/KUHS/1) and IQAC coordinated a Yoga practice session aiming to raise awareness on benefits of following a yoga routine on 21-06-2025. The session was well coordinated by Dr. T. Sengottuvel, Professor and HOD, Department of Pharmacology. Students from Pharm D, B Pharm and D Pharm actively took part in the session held in the Yoga hall. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. The students discussed the importance of yoga and also exhibited yoga postures and promised to introduce this activity in their daily lives.
Prime College of Pharmacy successfully organized an Internal seminar on How To Select A Research Title In Pharma on 20.06.2025 for the Seventh Semester B Pharm students. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Kavitha. K, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.The session provided valuable insights in to the process of identifying and formulating research titles in the Pharmaceutical field. She discussed about the key considerations for selecting a research title such as relevance, originality, feasibility and passion.Upon completion of the talk, the students came to know about the various aspects in selecting a Research title, to develop a basic research proposal outlining their research plan. This session was very much worthier in providing proper guidance for the students in research field.
The 2020–2024 B.Pharm Batch of Prime College of Pharmacy secured an outstanding 98% result in the final year examinations held in March 2025.
Every year on 5th June, the world unites for World Environment Day, an urgent global call to protect the planet. Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) since 1973, this day holds the largest global platform for environmental outreach. World Environment Day 2025 calls for collective action to tackle plastic pollution. The theme of this year is "Putting an End to Plastic Pollution". By drawing inspiration from nature and showcasing real-world solutions, the campaign is aimed to encourage individuals, organizations, industries, and governments to adopt sustainable practices that drive systemic change. On behalf of this campaign, Prime College of Pharmacy in association with NSS (Unit no.NSS/SFU/PKD/KUHS/1) organized sapling plantation drive in medicinal garden to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our environment and promoting sustainability. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. A. Sumathy, Vice Principal. Diya Hanana of second year Pharm D , delivered a talk on the importance of the day focusing on the theme. Students actively took part in the campaign with great enthusiasm. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Arjun R Nair of second year Pharm D. The day served as a powerful reminder to protect our environment for future generations.
Prime College of Pharmacy organized an internal seminar on Recent Advances in Bioanalytical Techniques for the Seventh Semester B Pharm students on 31-05-2025. The session was led by Mrs. Greeshma. S, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis. The seminar brought together innovative developments and advancement in bio analytical techniques. It covered topics including method development, instrumental analysis, data analysis and its interpretation. She discussed about the latest trends and applications of bio analytical methods in Pharmaceutical research. It emphasized on various hyphenated techniques and also its applications in Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Clinical Research. The students were highly interactive throughout the session and they gained a comprehensive understanding of bio analytical methods and their applications. The seminar concluded by summarising the preparation of the biological samples for instrumental analysis and their interpretation
Each year, we commemorate World No Tobacco Day on May 31 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social, and economic consequences of tobacco use and to strengthen tobacco control efforts. The annual observance informs the public about the dangers of using tobacco, the business practices of tobacco companies, what the World Health Organization (WHO) is doing to combat tobacco use, and what people around the world can do to claim their right to healthy living and protect future generations. The theme for this year is “Unmasking the appeal: exposing industry tactics on tobacco and nicotine products". On behalf of this day, Second Semester B Pharm students of Prime College of Pharmacy, in association with Pharmacy Practice Department, IQAC, and NSS Unit no (NSS/SFU/PKD/KUHS/1), conducted an awareness programme at Government Headquarters Hospital, Chittur, Palakkad on 31-05-2025. The programme begun with a welcome speech by the Residential Medical Officer, Dr. Rahul, detailing the dangers of tobacco use.Mrs. Rukmini,Head Nurse, PRO- Mrs. Swathy, and the Chief Pharmacist, Mrs. Latha explained about the community's involvement in spreading awareness and reducing tobacco consumption stigma.Our students distributed pamphlets to educate people about the risk factors and to draw attention to the widespread prevalence of tobacco use, promoting a healthy way of life. They successfully gathered public attention through the Flash Mob and took an oath in the classroom held thereafter. Dr. P. Sivakumar, Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, and Mrs. Akhila A R, Assistant Professor, accompanied the students.
