Curricular Opportunities

  • Prime college of pharmacy organized an orientation programme for the newly admitted D. Pharmacy students in our college auditorium on 6th January 2020. The programme was started with the prayer song followed by welcome address by our principal Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar. The presidential address was delivered by Mr. B. Rahim, Secretary, Prime Educational and Charitable Trust. The function was progressed with a key note address by Prof. Dr. C. I. Sajeeth, Executive trustee, Prime educational and charitable trust. He gave motivation to the students by his professional talk. Ms. Shahanaz. M , Assistant professor briefed the students about the rules and regulations of the institution and Ms. Reshma Francis, Assistant professor informed about the hostel rules and regulations, also requested the students and parents to understand and abide by the institutional rules and norms. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sony S, Assistant Professor. The orientation programme was concluded with the national anthem.
  • Prime College of Pharmacy has organized a career guidance program on Global opportunities of Indian Pharma students on 13/11/2019. The program was started with the welcome address of Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar, Principal, Prime college of Pharmacy. Around 120 participant including final year and third year B. Pharm students attended the program. The resource persons were Mr.Sony Varghese, Executive Director of Eazy Link Academy and Mr. Biju Varghese, Director of EazyLink Academy. They gave an exposure to the students in developing their skills with respect to the opportunities worldwide. Feedback session was interesting with good interaction among the student community. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. A. Sumathy, Assistant Professor, Prime college of Pharmacy. The programme was ended with the National Anthem.
  • National Pharmacy Week is being celebrated every year in the last week of November, to create awareness among public about the role of Pharmacist in public health. The theme for NPW 2019 was “Pharmacist Your Medication Counsellor”. The inauguration of 58th National Pharmacy Week celebration was held at Prime College of Pharmacy, Palakkad on Saturday, 30th November 2019 in the college auditorium. Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar, Principal, Prime college of pharmacy, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the objectives of pharmacy week. Dr. P. A Mohammed Ashraf, Chairman, Prime educational and charitable trust, delivered the presidential address. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. C. I. Jolly, Research Advisor, CARe KERALAM Ltd. and president of Indian Pharmaceutical Assiociation, Kerala state branch. He emphasized the importance of pharmacist in health care team and also highlighted the role of pharmacist in patient care. Prof. Dr C. I. Sajeeth, Executive Trustee, Prime educational and charitable trust, delivered a keynote address on theme of NPW 2019. Prizes for winners of World Pharmacist Day & Art’s Day were distributed thereafter. Mrs. Gifty M. Jojo, Assistant Professor, Prime College of Pharmacy proposed the vote of thanks and the programme ended with the National Anthem. A Seminar on the topic “Drug Discovery & Drug Development” was presented by Dr. C. I. Jolly. As a part of Pharmacy week celebrations, our students actively competed in seminar and poster presentations.
  • The orientation programme for the first year B.Pharm 2019 batch was held at Prime College auditorium on 19/08/2019. The programme started with a prayer song. The welcome address was given by our honourable Principal Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. P. A. Mohammed Ashraf, Chairman, Prime Educational and Charitable trust. Prof. Dr. C. I. Sajeeth, Executive Trustee, Prime Educational and Charitable trust addressed the gathering with his gratitude talk by conveying informations related with the scope in pharmacy by presuming an inspirational speech for the parents and students to reach their destiny with a determination.
  • The felicitation was delivered by Mr. Abdul Razak, Member, Prime Educational and Charitable trust providing an observable talk to develop positive energy in students and he provided some professional informations about the paramedical courses. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Asst.Professor Mrs. A. Sumathy, followed by National Anthem.
  • A lecture by Dr. Valliappan Kannappan, Adjunct Professor, IISM, SRM IST and a retired Professor of Quality Assurance, Department of Pharmacy, Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu on the topic "A Prelude to Chirality". The lecture highlighted the significance of Chirality in drug research among the academia and the presentation was intended to motivate and invite pharmaceutical scientists to pursue research in Chiral Science.
  • On behalf of Annual day celebrations (PRIM VIDHYUDH) Dr. R. Manavalan, Research Director (PG &Ph. D), RVS college of Pharmaceutical Sciences Coimbatore conducted a lecture on the topic “Career in pharmacy”. The importance of pharmacy as a profession in the current society, and the probabilities in research and development was the major highlighted point.
  •  As a part of National Pharmacy Week celebration a seminar on the topic, “Professional and Academic Perspectives of pharmacy” was delivered by Dr. Shanish Antony, Assistant Professor, College of Pharmaceutical sciences, Govt. Medical college, Kottayam.
  • On behalf of 57 th National Pharmacy Week, Our College conducted different programmes for the students. The students actively participated in various seminar and poster presentations. The Programme was inaugurated by District Medical Officer, Palakkad, Dr. Rita. K. P. She emphasized the actual role of pharmacist in public health care. Presidential address was delivered by Dr. C.I. Sajeeth, Executive Trustee, Prime College of Pharmacy. The First Newsletter of Prime College of Pharmacy “INTRUIZION” was released by the chief guest on this auspicious occasion.
  • World Pharmacist Day was celebrated on 25th September in Prime College of Pharmacy. The programme was organized by final year B. Pharmacy students of our Institution. The programme was inaugurated by our beloved Principal Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar. He focused a note to the gathering regarding the theme of World Pharmacist Day 2018 “Pharmacists: Your Medicine Experts”. As a part of the programme Essay writing (English, Malayalam), Pencil Drawing, Elocution (English, Malayalam), Quiz, Connectivity game and Magazine Making competitions were arranged for the students. Our students actively participated in all the events and the winners were announced.

National Pharmacy Week is being celebrated every year in the last week of November to create awareness among the general public about the role of pharmacist in public health. Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar, Principal, Prime College of Pharmacy, welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Nishith M.C., Drug Inspector Palakkad. In his chief guest address, he emphasized on the importance of pharmacist in the healthcare team. As a part of the Pharmacy week celebration Pharma Rally was conducted on 30.11.17 at Chittur, Palakkad.

National Pharmacy Week is being celebrated every year in the last week of November to create awareness among the general public about the role of pharmacist in public health. Prof. Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar, Principal, Prime College of Pharmacy, welcomed the gathering. He highlighted the objectives of the Pharmacy week and the various events chalked out for the week-long celebrations such as World Diabetes day celebration, deaddiction camps on alcohols and tobacco and career awareness by staff and students to create awareness among public. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Nishith M.C., Drug Inspector Palakkad. In his chief guest address, he emphasized upon the importance of pharmacist in the healthcare team. He also emphasized that the knowledge base of the pharmacist is crucial to enable him to perform multiple roles.

The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.The Programme was started with the prayer song followed by welcome address by our Principal Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar, and Dr. P. A. Mohammed Ashraf, Chairman, Prime Educational and Charitable Trust expressed the presidential address for the gathering. The felicitation was done, the function was progressed with a key note address by Prof. Dr. C. I. Sajeeth, Executive Trustee, Prime Educational and Charitable Trust. Semester Pattern was introduced by a detailed lecture.
  • World Pharmacist Day was celebrated on 25th September in Prime College of Pharmacy. The programme was organized by final year B. Pharmacy students of our Institution. The celebrations started with a prayer song. The programme was inaugurated by our beloved Principal Prof Dr. N. L. Gowrishankar.   • Prime College of Pharmacy organized an appreciation ceremony PRIM – APREZO – 2017 for the D. Pharm first outgoing batch in our auditorium on 25th October 2017. The programme was inaugurated by welcome address by our Principal Dr. N. L Gowrishankar. Prof. Dr. C. I. Sajeeth, Executive Trustee, Prime Educational and Charitable Trust and Dr. P.A. Mohammed Ashraf, Chairman, Prime educational and charitable trust graced the occasion. The chief guest of the ceremony was Sri. V. R Rajeev, Registrar, Kerala State Pharmacy Council, who inaugurated the placement cell. Rank holders and teachers securing 100% result in respective subjects were felicitated, Gopika. M, 6th Rank of state level was honoured. 
  • Our college conducted a seminar on Anti-Ragging laws on behalf of Taluk Legal Services Committee, Palakkad. The programme was conducted on Wednesday 27th September 2017,in the college campus at 2.00pm.Sri. Thushar.M, Secretary (Sub Judge), DistrictLegal Services Authority presided the function. Prof. Dr. N.L.Gowrisankar, Principal,Prime college of Pharmacy welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Smt.K.P. Indira, District Judge, Palakkad. Followed by the felicitation by our II B. Pharmacy student Miss RaslinRasha. A legal Literacy class was conducted on behalf of the District Legal Services authority, Palakkad and Taluk Legal Services Committee, Palakkad by Smt.K. Vijaya, Advocate, Palakkad. Mrs. Pooja Poulose, Asst. professor, Prime College ofPharmacy delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was organized by our NSS unit Co-ordinator Mrs. A. Sumathy Asst. Professor, Prime College of Pharmacy.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Praveen, Drug Inspector, Palakkad graced the occasion with a guest address.The function was progressed with a key note address by Prof. Dr. C. I. Sajeeth, Executive Trustee, Prime Educational and Charitable Trust and the orientation programme scheduled was concluded with the national anthem.
