M. Pharm Pharmaceutics - 2 years (4 semesters) - 15 seats

The Department of Pharmaceutics has been established in 2021. The major focus of the department’s post graduate program is to provide students with a strong focus and training to prepare them for careers in academia, pharmaceutical industry, or research institutions. These degree offerings are intended to meet the high demand for professionals with broad-based training in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The academic and research excellence can be undoubtedly achieved by our qualified faculty and well-equipped laboratory facilities. The curriculum is highly focused on providing advanced knowledge of different formulation and designing of novel drug delivery systems like sustained, controlled, ocular, mucoadhesive, nano pharmaceuticals etc.

Eligibility

A Pass in the following examinations B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of II, III and IV years OR 3rd to 8th semester of B. Pharm as the case may be.)

Every student, selected for admission to Post Graduate pharmacy program in an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/ her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Note: If the candidate had passed his/ her qualifying degree (B. Pharm.) from universities other than Kerala University of Health sciences, it is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective university.

After M. Pharm there are various opportunities for the individual, they can either go for higher studies like Ph. D. through GPAT and other entrances for improving their skills and upgradation of their degree or they can go for jobs in the chemical companies, research institutes, Pharma companies, even universities and colleges. Candidates can decide based on their interest. They can work in production/ manufacturing, validation aspects, technology transfer, process development, formulation development, Pharmacokinetics, Academic researcher, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory affairs etc.
