Species/Strains of Laboratory Animals Currently Available for Sale

• If intender demands single sex animals, then rates will be doubled.
• Rates are applicable for just weaned animals (3 weeks old) and has to be lifted immediately say 50-75gm for rats and 15-25gm for mice.

• Animals will be supplied only to the establishments or institutions that are registered with CCSEA
• Animals will be supplied only to the projects that have been approved by the Institutional Animal Ethical Committee (IAEC) as per the guidelines of CCSEA
• Animal requests should be made at least two months in advance, giving details of species, age, sex, weight, and number of animals required, along with the probable date of requirement, either in a single lot or in batches.
• After receiving the request in the desired format, a proforma invoice will be sent along with bank account details, GST, PAN, UPI transaction scanner to indenters for remitting payment online (Net banking and UPI).
• Queries related to animal availability will be entertained from 09:00 to 17:30 hrs on all working days except Sundays and Public Holidays on mobile; however, email and WhatsApp communication shall be made round the clock.

• Duly filled in lab animal request form (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD THE FORM)
• Letter/Mail request along with duly filled-in request form from the Head of the institute / Department / Guide / Investigator addressed to Scientist Incharge, Prime College of Pharmacy, Palakkad, Kerala.
• Copy of CCSEA registration certificate and IAEC approval indicating the species and number of animals
• The supply of animals is made only after receiving mandatory payment details as desired.
• Buyers should ensure the transport of animals according to CCSEA guidelines, using their own arrangements such as air-conditioned vehicles, appropriate cages or boxes, feed, water bottles, and bedding materials
